Farm Bureau youth group elects officers
CANFIELD --The Mahoning County Farm Bureau Youth recently elected officers for the year.
Oliva Myers of Ellsworth Township was elected president and Rachel Stanwood, Beaver Township, will be vice president. Other officers are Josie Arditi, Berlin Township, secretary; Kerry Johnson, Green Township, discussion leader; Angela Riehl, Beaver Township, Pioneer Regional Cabinet Representative; and Katie Houk of Springfield Township, alternate cabinet representative.
The purpose of Farm Bureau youth is to acquaint rural young people with the Farm Bureau organization, to develop leadership, and to encourage youths to join the organization.
The youth group participates in activities that promote farm safety, leadership development, socialization and community service.
The youths will participate in the Ohio Farm Bureau Regional Youth Conference on Oct. 18 Stark County Fairgrounds. They recently renewed their "Adopt-A-Highway" contract as a community and safety project
