Miss Backus, Robert Stoddard to wed in Florida

XJamye Elizabeth Backus, 3265 Hummingbird Hill Drive, Poland, and Robert Brandon Stoddard, 21 Ann St., Norwalk, Conn., have chosen Oct. 11 as their wedding date.
The bride-to-be is a daughter of Tom and Georgia Backus of the Poland address. Parents of the future groom are Bob and Judy Stoddard of Wells, N.Y.
The couple will be married during a ceremony at 4:30 p.m. at Anne Kolb Nature Center, Hollywood, Fla. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at Bimini Boat Yard and Marina, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Miss Backus graduated from Clarkson University, New York, with a bachelor's degree in engineering and management. She has accepted a position as operations manager of a chemical distribution center serving southern Connecticut.
Mr. Stoddard graduated cum laude from Clarkson with a bachelor's degree in accounting and earned a master's in taxation at the State University of New York in Albany. He is an accountant with KPMG in Stamford, Conn.
