MLS ROUNDUP Saturday's game

Crew 2, Burn 1
SOUTHLAKE, Texas -- Edson Buddle and Ross Paule each scored a goal to lead Columbus. The win snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Crew (6-9-6). Dallas (4-13-4) came close to tying it in the 80th minute, but Columbus goalie Jon Busch made a leaping save on a shot by Ali Curtis, who was acquired by the Burn on Thursday. Buddle scored in the 43rd minute to give the Crew a 1-0 lead. Freddy Garcia passed to Buddle, who scored his fifth goal of the season from 4 yards away. Paule scored in the 62nd minute on a free kick, shooting past the wall of defenders into the left corner of the net for his third goal of the year. The Burn's Bobby Rhine scored his first goal of the season in the 75th minute.
Galaxy 2, Revolution 1, OT
CARSON, Calif. -- Carlos Ruiz scored in the 98th minute for his second goal of the game, leading Los Angeles over New England. Ruiz took a long pass from Hong Myung-Bo, drove toward the goal and took a shot from 12 yards out which hit the crossbar and went past the goal line for his 12th goal as the Galaxy improved to 6-7-8. Jose Cancela scored on a penalty kick in the 86th minute for New England (5-8-8) to send it to overtime. Revolution forward Taylor Twellman, the MLS' leading scorer this season and last, sustained a concussion in the first half when he was accidentally kicked in the head by Los Angeles' Danny Califf while trying to head in Joe Franchino's free kick. Twellman was removed from the field on a stretcher and taken to Long Beach Memorial Hospital for further examination, a Galaxy team spokesman said. Twellman also had cuts on his nose and a possible broken nose, according to the preliminary diagnosis.
