Disorderly conduct chargefiled against S. Side man
YOUNGSTOWN -- Kevin Kridler's complaints about not receiving change from a lap dancer he paid at the New Affair Lounge on East Midlothian Boulevard resulted in his arrest at 2:15 a.m. Saturday on a charge of disorderly conduct while intoxicated, reports show.
Kridler, 27, of Wakefield Avenue, shouted obscenities at police, and his behavior was disruptive in front of patrons and employees, police said. The officers said he didn't give up after they explained several times that his complaint was unjustified.
Kridler was later charged with falsification when deputies said he used his brother's name during the booking process at the jail.
Police arrest suspectin sex attacks on girls
YOUNGSTOWN -- Police said Danny Daviduk, 25, of East Florida Avenue, jumped from a second-story bathroom window at a Hiram Street house at 2 a.m. Sunday to escape the scene of sexual attacks of two Struthers girls. Police arrested him later at his home on charges of rape and gross sexual imposition, reports show.
The first girl, 16, told police that she struggled free and ran after Daviduk ripped her shirt and left two marks, commonly called sucker bites, on her neck. The second girl, 17, told police that Daviduk followed her into the bathroom, threatened to kill her and raped her until someone knocked on the door and he jumped out the window.
Drum circle programwill promote wellness
YOUNGSTOWN -- "Making Music: Drumming Your Way to Wellness" will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McDonough Museum of Art on Wick Avenue on the Youngstown State University campus.
The Students Motivated by the Arts group will facilitate three different community drum circles. A community drum circle is a family-friendly event, where people empower one another and celebrate community and life through rhythm and music.
The program is offered to cancer patients and their families and friends.

Motorcycle accident
LISBON -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate a crash that killed an East Palestine man. The patrol said Robert L. Davis, 42, died after his motorcycle struck a pickup truck about 4 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of state Route 344 and Lisbon-Canfield Road.
The patrol said Davis was riding west on Route 344 when Theodore Scribner, 56, of Apple Ridge Road, Salem, pulled his pickup truck into the path of Davis' motorcycle. Scribner was driving north on Lisbon-Canfield Road and failed to yield at the stop sign at the Route 344 intersection, the patrol said. Scribner was not injured.
The report was incomplete, and no address was available for Davis.
Passenger hospitalized
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- An Ellwood City man was in critical condition this morning in UPMC Pittsburgh after a crash on Frew Mill Road. John Pounds was a passenger in a car that went off the road at a curve, went airborne and rolled over twice about 3:50 a.m. Sunday, state police said.
Pounds and the driver, Irona Carr, also of Ellwood City, were flown to Pittsburgh by medical helicopter. She was discharged Sunday. Another passenger, Raymond Carr of Ellwood City, was not seriously hurt, police said. Firefighters had to free Irona Carr and Pounds from the vehicle, police said.
Youths swim to raisefunds for cancer society
Area kids raised $15,648 for the American Cancer Society at this summer's annual swim-along at local pools and swim clubs.
Leading the way was Poland Swim Club, which raised $3,767. Boardman Swim Club raised $2,574; Logan Swim Club in Liberty and Canfield Swim Club each raised more than $2,200.
Applewood Swim Club raised just over $2,000, Tippecanoe Country Club raised more than $700, Trumbull Country Club brought in more than $500, and Camp Rachel netted more than $300.
The event was coordinated by Mandie Hiznay of the Poland Swim Club.
