2 men face multiple charges, including menacing, burglary
YOUNGSTOWN -- Police said they arrested Danny L. Scott and Keith W. Guy about 1:30 a.m. today after they caused disturbances on the city's South Side.
The sequence of events began on the West Side about 1 a.m. when Scott, 25, of Shady Run Road, left a Salt Springs Road bar and punched and kicked a van in the parking lot, leaving big dents, reports show.
At 1:15 a.m., Scott and Guy, 19, of Midland Avenue, threw bricks and patio furniture through windows at a house on Cooper Street and pounded on the door, eager to beat up the man inside, the intended victim's girlfriend told police.
The woman was on the phone with police when Guy kicked in the front door and he and Scott broke into the house, police said.
Scott and Guy didn't find the man they wanted and left, only to stand outside a house in the 1000 block of Shady Run, throw bricks at it and scream racial epithets at the resident, police said.
At 1:30 a.m., police found Guy hiding under a tree in front of Scott's house on Shady Run and Scott lying in weeds behind a house on Campbell Street.
Guy faces charges of aggravated burglary, ethnic intimidation, aggravated menacing and criminal damaging. Scott faces the same charges plus an extra criminal damaging count.
