FESTIVALS
XThe Salvation Army, 1249 N. Ellsworth Ave., Salem, is sponsoring a Harvest Festival, auction and spaghetti dinner Aug. 30. Dinners will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. Meatball sandwiches are $2.50. The auction will begin at 2:30 p.m.
GARDEN SHOW
XMen's Garden Club of Youngstown will sponsor a horticultural show Sept. 6-7 at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens. Entries will be accepted from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 6 with judging conducted at 11 a.m. The public is welcome to enter, and members will be available to help set up the entries. TRIPS
XCamelot Center Therapeutic Riding Program will sponsor a bus trip to Mountaineer Gaming Resort on Friday. The bus will depart at 5:30 p.m. from Rancho Villa Commons, Elm Road, Warren, and leave the resort for the return trip at 11:30 p.m. Cost is $25 with a $5 coin voucher. Reservations are required; call (330) 898-5036. Proceeds will benefit the center, which provides therapeutic horseback riding to people with and without disabilities.
