SEATTLE MARINERS--Announced INF Evel Bastida has been suspended for the rest of the minor league season and fined an undisclosed amount by the California League for his actions during a game at Lancaster on Aug. 18.

FLORIDA MARLINS--Placed LHP Armando Almanza on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Aug. 20 and outfielder Todd Hollandsworth on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Aug. 14.
