Society seeks fair volunteers



CANFIELD -- The Irish American Archival Society is seeking volunteers to man the Ireland booth in the International Building at the Canfield Fair.
Volunteers will staff the booth in two-hour shifts from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day of the fair. Each volunteer will receive free admission to the fairgrounds.
The society is also seeking photographs to be published in the book, "The Irish In Youngstown, Warren and the Greater Mahoning Valley." All Irish photographs will be considered, especially political and Civil War photos, and will be returned.
Photographs may be sent to IAAS, P.O. Box 454, Canfield, Ohio 44406-0454 or submitted in person during the organization's next meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at 5480 Mission Hills Drive, Canfield.

The Irish American Archival Society of the Greater Mahoning Valley Inc. is an Ohio not-for-profit corporation.
The society collects, preserves and makes available for research the papers, documents, photographs and memorabilia of the Irish in the greater Mahoning Valley.
The Archival Society's collection is in the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor Archival Library, 151 W. Wood St., Youngstown.
