YOUNGSTOWN -- Lisa Nagy-Baker, owner of Nagy-Baker Court Reporting and Baker Sten-Tel Transcription Services, was elected president of the National Court Reporters Association. Nagy-Baker earned her court and conference reporting credentials from Youngstown State University. She has served NCRA as a member of its board of directors, as secretary-treasurer and as vice president.
VIENNA -- Eugene R. Emery, president of E.R. Emery Agency Inc. in Vienna, qualified to attend the 2003 Million Dollar Round Table annual meeting in Las Vegas. He is a 36-year member of the round table, an international independent association recognizing outstanding insurance and financial services professionals.
SALEM -- Dr. Richard Fisher, a dentist practicing in Salem, received the Academy of General Dentistry's Mastership Award, a mark of professional excellence. He completed 1,100 hours of coursework in 16 areas of dentistry, including 400 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques, to qualify for the award. Dr. Fisher, of Leetonia, graduated from Case Western Reserve University. The AGD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping dentists keep up to date in the profession through continuing education.
VIENNA -- Grange Insurance, based in Columbus, has named P.L. Gibson-Governor Insurance Agency in Vienna one of its Top Ten Agencies. The agency also received Grange's Personal Lines Profit Center Award, based on profit, volume and growth, and achieved property and casualty sales of more than $1 million.
BERLIN CENTER -- Green Pastures Farm in Berlin Center is a new member of the American Angus Association, a national breed registry organization in St. Joseph, Mo. The association records ancestral information and keeps production records on individual animals for its members.
