HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY Mary Krecelic



Born: Aug. 27, 1903, in Pittsburgh.
Residence: Ivy Woods Manor in North Lima.
Early years: Lost her hearing at the age of 7 due to scarlet fever. She attended the School for the Deaf in Pittsburgh and later moved to the Youngstown area.
Husband: She was married in August 1920 to George Krecelic. They moved to a farm in Poland, where she especially enjoyed working with the animals. He died Nov. 17, 1946.
Children: Josephine Nonnemaker of Poland. Two other children, Nicholas Krecelic and Mary Krecelic, are deceased.
Grandchildren: Three.
Great-grandchildren: Eight.
Great-great-grandchildren: Six.
Hobbies: Quilting, crocheting and playing bingo.
Celebration: A party will be held at the nursing facility on Aug. 27.
