SOCCER Macali's two goals aid JFK's 4-1 win
Brittney Getz had Fitch's goals in a 2-1 win over Cardinal Mooney's girls.
WARREN -- Quinn Macali scored two goals and added an assist to lead Warren John F. Kennedy High past Columbiana 4-1 in a boys soccer game Wednesday.
Kyle Schimley and Anthony Olive each added a goal and an assist for the Eagles (1-0). Brian Cullivan also had an assist.
Brian Glick had a goal and Eric Birnesser added an assist for Columbiana (0-1).
Brian Wolnik had eight saves for JFK, while David Cramer had 13 for the Clippers.

NILES -- Jake Schimley scored a goal and Paul Zieglar added an assist for Niles (2-0).
Joe Miller had four saves for the Red Dragons.
Gerad Daly had eight saves for Ursuline.

COLUMBIANA -- Ken Wagenhouser scored a goal on an assist from James Frost for Crestview (1-0-1). Jeremy Mahue scored the goal for Bristol (0-0-1).

AUSTINTOWN -- Brittney Getz scored two goals to lead Austintown Fitch past Cardinal Mooney, 2-1.
Jodi Bowlen and Sarah Vaughn each added assists for the Falcons (1-0), who out-shot the Cardinals 15-9. Kristi Brendlinger had eight saves.
Marisa Simon scored an unassisted goal with a minute remaining for Mooney (0-1). Natalie Humphreys had eight saves.

NEWTON FALLS -- Jenna Lee scored an unassisted goal in the first half to lead Champion.
Jessica Wood had 15 saves for the Golden Flashes (1-0), who outshot the Tigers, 10-9.
For Newton Falls (1-1), Rachal Brazin had 10 saves and Kortney Collins added five saves.
