The English Center, Youngstown: Affiliated with the Youngstown City Schools' Adult Education Department; offers English-language classes and citizenship preparation to non-native residents; new and former students register at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday or Friday at the center, 1125 Turin Ave. Call (330) 743-5767.
Southern Local High School, Salineville: New pupils in grades seven to 12; bring pupil's birth certificate, Social Security card, shot records, and custody papers if applicable. Call the school, (330) 679-2305, for an appointment.
Noah's Ark Preschool, Girard -- Accepting applications for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds. Call (330) 545-9701.
