Navarros mark 60th anniversary at luncheon

XBOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Navarro Sr. of Crystal Drive were honored Aug. 17 at a luncheon at the Maronite Center in Youngstown on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary.
The couple also were honored at a special Mass that day at St. Anthony Church in Youngstown celebrated by Mr. Navarro's cousin, Monsignor John DeMarinis.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Robert Jr. and Georgie Navarro of Toledo and Patti and Mike Kimock of North Jackson. Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Navarro and the former Theresa L. Nacarato were married Aug. 23, 1943, at St. Ann Church in Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and retired in 1974 from General Fireproofing in Youngstown.
His wife was a cashier for Valu King before retiring in 1985.
