XYOUNGSTOWN -- Monsignor Anthony Giannamore presided at a 1 p.m. July 19 ceremony as Lisa Anne Skerkavich and Matthew Smith, both of 8911 Treeland Lane, Dayton, were united in marriage at Holy Name Church.
After accepting congratulations during a reception at Stambaugh Auditorium, the couple left for a Mediterranean cruise. They live in Dayton.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Barry Bokanovich, 9380 Stratton Road, Salem, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Skerkavich, 97 Hood Drive, Canfield. The groom's parents are Thomas and Allison Smith, of the Dayton address.
The bride's satin ballgown featured an embroidered bodice with beaded halter straps, a full skirt and a chapel train.
Champagne-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Michelle Skerkavich, and the bridesmaids, Lisa Bokanovich, Sarah Wakefield, Gina Beshara, Charis Denny-Mayo, Sarah Pfau, Maribeth Smith, and Natalie Welsh. Flower girls were Mandy and Melody Cline.
Michael Smith performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Gregory Smith, Rob Sykes, Bill Knapp, Rob Rubio, Chris Ryan, David Schindler, and Mike Vichich. Ring bearer was Aidan Cline.
The bride graduated from Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology in Dayton with and associate degree in professional imaging. She is an editor with the Berry Co. in Dayton.
The groom, a loan officer with Horizon Mortgage in Dayton, holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University, Columbus.
