Janutolo 50th is celebrated during picnic
XNEW MIDDLETOWN -- The 50th anniversary of their Aug. 24, 1953, wedding in Bluefield, Va., was celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Benny Janutolo, 31 Sycamore Drive, during a barbecue and picnic held Aug. 23 at New Middletown Farmers' and Sportsmen's Clubgrounds.
Arrangements for the festivities were made by the couple's children and their spouses, Dan and Connie Janutolo of New Middletown, Sheila and Charles Thiery of Poland, and Devona and Michael Groneck of Austin, Texas. There are 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren in the family.
Mrs. Janutolo, the former Sarah Farmer, is an accounting clerk with Mahoning County Department of Job and Family Services after working 37 years for local finance companies. She is a member of the Free Methodist Community Church, the Ohio Free Methodist Resource Team and the Tri-County Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, and is a member and chairman of the Mahoning Valley Network Council of ABWA.
Mr. Janutolo served as a corporal in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He retired in 1997 after 35 years as a driver with Modern Builders Supply Co. in Youngstown. He is a member of New Middletown Farmer's and Sportsmen's Club, a golfer and bowler.
