Dinner party honors Kobeles for golden event



XGREENVILLE, Pa. -- A dinner party held July 19 at Das Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana honored Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Kobele, 252 Donation Road, for the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the honorees' children and spouses, Joanne and William Rypcinski of Leetonia and Charlene and David Reed and Linda Hartwig, all of Poland.
The family circle also includes another daughter, Cheryl Combs of Greenville, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The former Elaine Zellner and Mr. Kobele were married July 25, 1953, at Immanuel Evangelical Reform Church in Milwaukee.
Mrs. Kobele was employed as a secretary for Damico Realtors, Youngstown, and then the Department of Human Resources, also in Youngstown, before retiring in 1985. She is a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Youngstown.
Retiring in 1997, Mr. Kobele was a minister. He served at Bethlehem United Church of Christ and First Federated Church in North Jackson. He also is a Mason and belongs to the Kiwanis Club. Mr. Kobele served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1955 and was in the Korean War.
