XAUSTINTOWN -- Christine Peterson, a daughter of Gene and Sandy Klezer, all of Boardman, and Michael Golec Sr. of Austintown, a son of Mildred Golec of Youngstown and the late William Golec, were united in marriage July 19 at St. Joseph Church.
The couple exchanged nuptial vows during a 2 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. James Korda.
They accepted congratulations that evening during a reception at the Saxon Club, and then left for a honeymoon in Las Vegas.
They live in Austintown.
The bride and groom are employed by Western Reserve Transit Authority in Youngstown, where she is an accounts payable clerk and he is a chief dispatcher.
Alencon lace appliques, sequins and pearls embellished the portrait neckline, cap sleeves, bodice and cathedral train of the bride's ecru gown.
Periwinkle-blue gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Barb Costello of Poland, and the bridesmaids, Debbie Colbert of Boardman, also her sister; Judy Saccomen of Hubbard; and Jean Targett of Austintown. Flower girl was the bride's stepniece, Renee Lallemand of Mineral Ridge.
Performing the duties of best man was Chuck Nisevich of Campbell, and groomsmen were Mitch Nisevich of Austintown; Bill Golec of Youngstown, the groom's brother; and Bob Targett of Austintown. The bride's son, Nicholas Peterson of Austintown, was ring bearer.
