Library will feature talkon Ohio's 8 presidents
WARREN -- The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren, will feature a talk on Ohio's eight presidents by author James Cash on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Cash, of Kettering, is the author of "Unsung Heroes: Ohioans in the White House -- A Modern Appraisal." He has appeared on a number of public and private TV and radio stations.
The program -- made possible by the Ohio Humanities Council, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities -- is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. For more information, call (330) 399-8807, Ext. 128.
Interactive programto blend art and books
WARREN -- The Howland branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library and the Butler Institute of American Art will offer a unique blend of art and books during an interactive family program Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Butler's Trumbull County branch, 9350 East Market Street in Warren.
The family series is called "Reading and Other Forms of Art," and encourages adults and children to work together to connect books and art in a museum atmosphere.
Staff from the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Branch Services Department will present stories, and art educators from the Butler Institute of American Art will present a companion craft.
The program is free and open to the public, geared fro children 5-12 with an accompanying adult. Registration is not required.
