Paint-ball shooting spree ends in 5 arrests



GIRARD -- Four adults and a juvenile were arrested early today and accused of firing paint-balls at several houses and vehicles.
The adults are all 18. The 17-year-old juvenile was released to his parents.
Scheduled for arraignment today in municipal court on criminal mischief charges are: Thomas E. Troll Jr., West Liberty Street, Girard; Justin N. Thomas, Dearborn Street, Girard; Steven J. Border, West Marshall Road, McDonald; and Ryan L. Gallo, East Fifth Street, McDonald.
Houses were hit with paint on Hazel Street and Ohio and Washington avenues.
The Girard Free Library also was struck several times.
Police said they expect property owners to alert police to other damages.
Police spotted a car with five teenagers inside about 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Hazel. Police followed the car and stopped it on Olive Street. In the car were three paint-ball pistols, paint-balls and oxygen-filled cylinders to power the pistols.
