Members also will help select materials such as books, CDs, DVDs and videos.
Fogging for mosquitoes
LIBERTY -- The township will fog for mosquitoes Monday and Tuesday from dusk to about 2 a.m. each day. In the event of bad weather, fogging will be done the next night.
Strike contingency plan
SOUTHINGTON -- Schools will be open Monday regardless of whether the district's support staff goes on strike. Superintendent William Pfahler said the board of education agreed Monday to keep the schools operating in the event of a strike by classified employees, including bus drivers, secretaries, cafeteria workers and others. A contract between the board and the workers expired June 30, 2001. The board imposed a contract June 30, after two years of unsuccessful negotiations, Pfahler said. The union representing the workers issued a notice of their intent to strike Monday, the first day of school.
