Two-vehicle accidentkills Liberty Twp. man
LIBERTY -- A township man died near his home in a two-car accident about midnight Friday, authorities said. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Dennis L. Wood, 50, of Naylor-Lloyd Road was traveling north on state Route 193 in a 1994 GMC Jimmy and attempted to make a left turn onto Naylor-Lloyd Road when the accident happened. Wood's vehicle was hit on the right side by a van traveling south on state Route 193 and driven by Dante L. Hurst, 19, of Youngstown, the patrol reports. Wood was pronounced dead at the scene. Hurst and the occupants in his vehicle -- Ava M. Spann, 53, and Jesse D. Averhart, 29, both of Youngstown -- suffered minor injuries and were treated at local hospitals.
