SHARPSVILLE, PA. Clark shares tornado money

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. -- Clark Borough didn't get all the state help it asked for to help with the cleanup following a Nov. 10 tornado that killed one resident, destroyed several houses and damaged others, but it's willing to share what it got.
Clark asked for $140,000 and got a check for $100,000 in June.
On Thursday, Clark Mayor Douglas Bradley appeared at a Sharpsville Borough Council meeting and handed officials a check for $8,134.32 for borough equipment and manpower and $445.50 for the volunteer fire department's services in the cleanup effort.
As part of the request for funds, Clark asked every municipality that sent manpower and equipment to provide an estimate of the cost of that service.
Clark is trying to pay off some of that debt.
Bradley said Clark didn't get enough money to cover all of the expenses but is reimbursing those who helped as best it can.
"We appreciate it," said Sharpsville Councilman Alex Kovach, noting that no one on council had really expected any reimbursement for the help Sharpsville provided.
Bradley said his community is grateful for the help it received.
"We will be there if you ever need us," he pledged.
