Trustees fill vacancy
VIENNA -- Township trustees have appointed William Bunkley, 4410 King Graves Road, to fill the remaining few months in the term of former Trustee Jack Hinely.
Hinely left the board of trustees a month ago, after the Trumbull County Board of Elections determined he was no longer a township resident. His term was to have expired at the end of the year.
Bunkley, a retired Ohio Department of Transportation engineer, has served two terms on the township's zoning board of appeals and is a 35-year township resident, Trustee Mark Finamore said.
He told trustees that he will not run to keep the seat in November, Finamore said.
Nine other township residents applied for the $8,000-a-year job.
Police probe robbery

Police Chief Dan Faustino said a man walked into the Movie Zone about 6:20 p.m. Thursday. The man, whose face was covered, walked up to the store clerk with a shotgun or rifle, demanded money and produced a shopping bag for the cash, Faustino said.
The clerk complied and the gunman ordered her to get on the floor and remain there for five minutes. He fled the store in an unknown direction.
The chief said the amount of money was less than $100.
