Car and cycle benefit
AUSTINTOWN -- The fifth annual Joshua Walker Benefit Car & amp; Motorcycle Cruise will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Emmanuel Community Church, 6512 Kirk Road. Joshua, 6, of Austintown, suffers from metachromatic leukodystrophy, a genetic disease for which there is no cure. He can't walk, talk, chew or swallow.
There will be a large display of cars and cycles, an auction, a raffle, entertainment and food. Contributions can be made at any First National Bank.

Historical society picnic
HUBBARD -- Trumbull County Historical Society will hold its annual picnic at the bicentennial barn, 7763 E. Liberty St., at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The event, which will feature tours of the barn's collection of antiques, is free and open to the public. Ham and beverages will be provided, but those attending are asked to bring their own table service and a dish to share.
