Suspect returns to Pa. to face homicide charges
SHARON, Pa. -- A former Farrell man wanted in the June slaying of Elliott A. Campbell has been returned to Mercer County to face charges.
Michael A. Rogers, 29, whose last known address was in Farrell, was arraigned this morning before District Justice James McMahon on a charge of criminal homicide. He was lodged in Mercer County Jail without bond.
Police said Rogers is accused of gunning down Campbell, 27, of Hermitage, in the parking lot of a Budd Street lounge June 16 after the two argued inside the building. Campbell was unarmed, police said.
Rogers fled the area but was located in Mississippi about two weeks ago and extradited to Pennsylvania to face the homicide charge.
