XBOARDMAN -- A reception at Willow Creek in Girard followed the July 12 wedding of Shirley McGraw and Douglas Alan Draper, both of 1739 Ridgelawn Ave., Youngstown, who exchanged marriage vows at 4:30 p.m. at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park before the Rev. Robert Quaintance.
The bride is a daughter of Margaret McGraw, Boardman, and the late George McGraw. The groom is a son of Carole and Richard Walker of Bath, N.Y., and Claude Draper Jr., Addison, N.Y.
The couple honeymooned at Lake Placid, N.Y., and the Poconos.
Mrs. Draper is an administrative assistant for the central sales region at Millbrook Distribution Services. She attended Youngstown State University.
Mr. Draper is the assistant manager at H.L.W. Fast Track. He attends ITT Technical Institute and earned an associate degree at Cazenovia College.
The bride's satin A-line dress was enhanced by a beaded and embroidered organza overlay.
Lisa Welsh was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Lisa McGraw, the bride's sister-in-law; Barbara Schlosser, her cousin; and Lori Croyle. They wore cornflower blue dresses. Junior bridesmaids were Arika and Lauren McGraw, the bride's nieces. Flower girls were Jessica Welsh, her goddaughter, and Lorraine and Audrey Draper, the groom's daughters.
The groom's stepfather was best man. Groomsmen were David McGraw, the bride's brother, and Kevin Welsh and John Blue. Ring bearer was Alex Welsh.
