Hamrocks 60th to be observed in September



XCAMPBELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Aloysius Thomas Hamrock, 538 Sixth St., will be observing their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 18 at home. The event also was observed in June with their children, Marilyn Hamrock-Pagliaro of Winter Springs, Fla., and Margaret Hamrock-Gram of Exeter, N.H. There are two grandchildren in the family.
The couple were united in marriage in 1943, at St. John Catholic Church, while Mr. Hamrock was stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., during World War II. He was in the 88th Glider Infantry, and the 13th and the 82nd Airborne Divisions, and was promoted to captain.
Mr. Hamrock, who will be 90 on Nov. 1, and his wife, the former Angela Marie Salreno, who will be 86 on Sept. 30, have master's degrees and a combined 92 years in the field of education.
Mr. Hamrock retired in 1976 as an elementary school principal with Youngstown City Schools. His wife retired in 1993 as an elementary school teacher with Boardman Local Schools. They are members of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
