XSTRUTHERS -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place July 12 during a 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Nicholas Church, as Gina Marie Donofrio, 2253 Manor Ave., Poland, and Darren Wayne Cope, 61 Green Bay Drive, Boardman, were united in marriage.
The Rev Phillip Rogers officiated for the daughter of Robert and Georgette Donofrio of the Poland address, and the son of Wayne and Susan Cope, 43858 Crestview Road, Columbiana.
A reception was held at The Georgetown in Boardman, and the couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn. They live in Poland.
Beaded Alencon lace adorned the bride's white gown. It featured spaghetti straps, a satin corset bodice, and a tulle skirt.
Victorian lilac gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Kathryn Donofrio, and the bridesmaids, Elizabeth Cavalier, Victoria and Jennifer Mauer, her cousins; and Lisa Paliga. Flower girl was the groom's niece, Courtney Waters.
Matthew Sell was best man, and serving as groomsmen were Benjamin Cattrell, David Oswald, and the groom's brothers-in-law, Randy Waters and Todd Westover. Ring bearer was the groom's nephew, T.J. Westover, and ushers were the bride's cousins, Tony and Michael Donofrio.
The bride, a K-2 special-education teacher with Struthers City Schools, graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in elementary and special education.
The groom holds a degree in criminal justice from YSU, and is a claims representative with Progressive Insurance Co. in Canfield.
