XEAST LANSING, MICH. -- The Rev. Dr. Harry Johnson solemnized the marriage of Brooke Nicole Townsend and Sean Christopher Banks, both of 2123 Michael Ave., S.W., Wyoming, Mich., at 4 p.m. July 12 at The Peoples Church.
A reception was held at The Kellogg Center to honor the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. Lee Townsend, 900 Wildwood, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Banks, 417 Gardenwood Drive, Boardman.
Afterward the couple left for a honeymoon at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They live at 1600 House St., Rockford, Mich.
The bride's white silk satin strapless gown was embellished with pearls and featured a dropped waistline and chapel train.
Black gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Brooke West, and the bridesmaids, Izabell Rodau, Beth Adkins, Jaime Tannenbaum, Emily Saalfeld, and Stephanie Bograkos.
Todd Banks was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Shane Adkins, Wes Kammer, Joel DeSocio, John Capple, Rob LaCivita, and the bride's brother, Todd Townsend. Ring bearer was the groom's nephew, Sierra Banks, and ushers were Jeff Kurz, Bob Hamzik, Brian Stephan and Shaun Mason.
The bride graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in elementary education. She is a third-grade teacher with Wyoming Public Schools in Wyoming, Mich.
The groom, an account manager with Onsite Companies in Kentwood, Mich., holds a degree in management from MSU.
