XSTRUTHERS -- The marriage of Anne Vicarel, 128 Wilson St., and Gerald Scavnicky Jr., 407 W. Omar St., was solemnized by the Rev. Phillip Rogers during a ceremony at 2 p.m. July 19 at St. Nicholas Church.
The newlyweds received guests during a reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman then left for a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They live at the groom's address.
Parents of the bride are Monte and Carol Vicarel of the Wilson Street address. The groom is a son of Gerald Scavnicky Sr., Spring Street, and Patty Scavnicky of Fifth Street.
A cathedral train accented by pearls and beading highlighted the bride's satin gown styled with a pleated bodice.
Mrs. Scavnicky graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She is a customer service assistant with the Ohio Department of Public Safety in Youngstown.
Mr. Scavnicky is employed in sales at Youngstown Plant and Flower. He attended Bethany College, Bethany, W.Va.
Monica and Gina Vicarel were honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Gina Barone, Jill Colaneri, Katey Duffy, Stacie Belyusar, Jenni Vaio and Mary D'Amato. Junior bridesmaids were Jacklyn Evans and Courtney Richards. They wore celadon-colored dresses. McKenna Shives was flower girl.
Derek Scavnicky served as best man. Groomsmen were Frank Patierno, Dennis Rosko, Sam Muto, Kevin Sferra, George Zordich, Rick Basista and Mike Pauline. Tyler Rosko was ring bearer.
