YOUNGSTOWN Project SAFE/Phoenix Court uses Goodwill drop-off points
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries is partnering with Project SAFE/Phoenix Court by allowing use of its drop-off points for donations to Project SAFE.
The items are now given directly to Project SAFE facilities, which lack the storage space and ability to organize items.
Project SAFE resident families will receive vouchers to shop at area Goodwill retail outlets in Liberty and Struthers.
Shopping in a store environment will offer greater convenience, selection and dignity, officials said.
Goodwill collection centers in Mahoning and Trumbull Counties involved in the program are at the Struthers store, Liberty dock, Austintown and Boardman. For hours or directions, call (330) 759-7921.
Project SAFE and Phoenix Court offer transitional housing for homeless, chemically dependent women and their children.
Goodwill offers job training and employment services for people with disabilities and other special needs, while also serving the homeless and people with visual disabilities through a variety of programs.
