BOARDMAN
Aug. 4
Theft, criminal damage: An employee at Office Furniture Outlet, 4521 Market St., reported someone spray-painted a vehicle's license plate and damaged its trunk before removing an expiration sticker.
Theft: A woman reported an in-dash AM/FM compact-disc stereo and two speakers removed from a vehicle parked in the 7800 block of Market Street.
Criminal damage: Someone damaged a car's driver's-side window, dashboard and a stereo, before trying to take the stereo, at Preston Hyundai, 260 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damage, theft: A woman reported damage to her vehicle's dashboard, passenger-side door and door lock, and an AM/FM CD player stolen, at Taylor Toyota-Kia-Oldsmobile, 8250 Market St.
Criminal damage: An employee at the Microtel Inn, 7393 South Ave., reported a guest damaged an air conditioner unit and left the room in disrepair.
Criminal damage: A woman reported someone broke her son's vehicle's rear window and passenger-side door handle in the 800 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal mischief: A man in the 600 block of Chestnut Lane reported a male teenager drove a vehicle through the man's front lawn.
Theft: Police arrested a 20-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after three sets of earrings were stolen from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A man reported his cellular phone stolen from an unknown location.
Theft: A man reported a laptop computer, a briefcase, miscellaneous computer parts and a digital video camera stolen from his vehicle parked at his residence in the 600 block of Angiline Drive.
Theft: An Austintown man reported an amplifier and a subwoofer stolen from his vehicle at Stadium Lincoln Mercury Mazda Inc., 238 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damage: A man reported someone damaged two 21-foot-by-31-foot glass windows and a pair of screens at his apartment in the 800 block of Mathews Road.
Arrests: After investigating a report of public indecency, police arrested a boy, 13, and a man, 21, both from Youngstown, at Pep Boys Automotive Super Center, 215 Boardman-Poland Road. Both were charged with carrying concealed weapons after officers alleged they were in possession of a handgun and a knife.
Aug. 5
Arrest: An 18-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at his Canfield Road residence on three counts of aggravated menacing after an Erskine Avenue man reported someone threatened to kill him.
Theft: A woman reported a wicker table and a chair were removed from the front porch to her residence in the 300 block of Afton Avenue.
Theft: A man discovered the rear license plate missing from his car parked in a yard in the 800 block of East Midlothian Boulevard.
Stolen checks: New Middletown police alleged a 44-year-old woman forged and cashed 11 stolen checks totaling $1,712 at various Boardman Sky Bank branches.
Burglary: A woman reported someone broke into her apartment in the 20 block of Southwoods Drive and stole a 19-inch TV, a stereo, receiver, cassette player, CD player, a microwave oven, a breadmaker and a gold chain.
Criminal damage: A woman reported her vehicle's hood and right front fender damaged in the 300 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: An employee at Salty Grogs, 1203 Boardman-Poland Road, reported $540 stolen from a bar area.
Aug. 6
Auto theft: An employee at Epco Extrusion Painting Co., 413 McClurg Road, reported his 1991 Chevy Blazer stolen from the parking lot. Also, another employee reported an AM/FM stereo-cassette player stolen.
Theft: A 2002 CAT 420D backhoe was stolen from a construction site in the 6300 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A man discovered a truck locker with miscellaneous hand tools and food items, a floor jack and a toolbox missing from a carport in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue.
Criminal mischief: Police arrested two Boardman boys, 10 and 11, on criminal mischief charges after an apartment maintenance worker discovered six light bulbs broken in two carports in the 7300 block of West Boulevard.
Theft: An employee at Motherhood Maternity in the Southern Park Mall alleged a woman, 35, stole a $300 table.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen while she was in a parking lot in the 300 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Police arrested two Youngstown boys, one 9 and one with no age given, on theft charges after four CDs and a game cartridge were stolen from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a 25-year-old Youngstown man on Market Street on a warrant charging him with marijuana possession.
Theft: A man in the 1900 block of Wendy Lane reported a bird feeder and two hubcap pieces stolen from his front yard.
Aug. 7
Vehicle damage: Three men in the 10 block of Homestead Drive reported their cars on fire. Police determined the fires to be suspicious, and one vehicle had its passenger-side paint damaged, another had damage to its driver's-side paint and the third vehicle was destroyed.
Criminal damage: A man reported someone broke his father's vehicle's driver's-side door window in the 70 block of Lemans Drive. Also, a man discovered his car's front passenger-side window broken.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 300 block of Mathews Road discovered a hunting arrow protruding from her garage door frame.
Breaking and entering: Police charged two Youngstown boys, 10 and 12, with breaking and entering after an employee at Four Wheels, 5925 South Ave., reported three juveniles kicked in a garage door panel to gain entry.
Theft: A Salem man discovered a debit card, an Ohio operator's license, a black wallet, a key ring with various keys and a Social Security card stolen from a locker room at Astre Total Fitness & amp; Rehabilitation Center, 374 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A man reported his cellular phone stolen at a residence in the 6300 block of South Avenue.
Assault: A woman in the 700 block of Orlo Lane alleged her son assaulted her at their residence.
Drugs: A 34-year-old Westview Drive woman was arrested at her residence and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrest: Police charged an 11-year-old Youngstown boy with breaking and entering after someone kicked in a garage door panel at Four Wheels.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen from her vehicle parked at Cinemark Movies 8, 469 Boardman-Poland Road.
Burglary: A woman discovered her apartment in the 4200 block of Hillman Way was ransacked, and a 19-inch TV, a videocassette recorder, a computer and a wooden jewelry box containing two wedding bands and an engagement ring were stolen.
Theft: Police arrested a 15-year-old Youngstown girl on a theft charge after $164 worth of miscellaneous clothing and shoes was stolen from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road. She also was charged with obstructing official business after police say she gave them false information.
Theft: A 12-year-old Youngstown boy was charged with theft after two packages of condoms were stolen from Target.
Theft: Police arrested an 18-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after $47 worth of women's clothing was stolen from Kaufmann's.
Aug. 9
Theft: A woman left a Country Fair Food Store, 7465 South Ave., without paying for $16 worth of gasoline.
Arrest: Police arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown man on Southern Boulevard on a felony warrant charging him with having a weapon under disability.
Theft: A woman reported her checkbook stolen from an office area in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A man took a vacuum cleaner and tried to leave the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall without paying for the item.
Theft: Police arrested an 18-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after about $70 worth of merchandise was stolen from Value City department store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road.
Domestic violence: A 33-year-old Boardman man was charged with domestic violence after his father alleged the man assaulted him at the Terrace Motel, 4972 Market St.
Aug. 10
Theft: A man reported two subwoofers, two amplifiers, an AM/FM CD player, 100 CDs and miscellaneous wiring stolen from his vehicle parked at a residence in the 1300 block of Valley View Drive.
Criminal damage: A man discovered about $200 in damage to his truck's wheel well bed at Donnell Ford, 7955 Market St.
Theft: A man alleged a 45-year-old woman stole $294 while he was at the Jock Stop, 7344 Market St.
Theft: An employee at the Boardman Community Care Center, 5665 South Ave., reported bank, welfare and food stamp cards and $25 stolen from a work room.
Domestic violence: A 31-year-old man was arrested at his South Avenue residence on a domestic-violence charge after a family member reported being a victim.
Burglary: Police arrested a 19-year-old Hubbard man on an aggravated burglary charge after a man in the 700 block of Maple Avenue reported his residence burglarized and $40 in cash and a $10 roll of quarters stolen.
Credit-card fraud: An Ashtabula woman reported someone stole her credit card and used it to make a $190 purchase at Shoe Carnival, 550 Boardman-Poland Road, and a $262 purchase at Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damage: Someone did $500 worth of damage to a vehicle's trunk lock in the 70 block of Red Grouse Court.
Theft: A Target employee alleged seeing a 39-year-old man stealing 54 miscellaneous items totaling $2,997.48.

Vandalism: A man reported two juveniles threw rocks at a scoreboard and kicked over a trash container at North Elementary School, 361 Johnston Place.
Aug. 10
Recovered property: A bicycle stolen from a residence in the 10 block of Centennial Drive was recovered on Clyde Street.
