Man pleads innocent to stun gun attacks
AUSTINTOWN -- A township man has pleaded innocent to charges stemming from an attack on homeless people with a stun gun in Cleveland.
Joshuah Langenheim, 19, of Redgate Lane is charged with six counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of possession of criminal tools. The stun gun is the criminal tool. If convicted on all counts, he faces up to three years in jail and $6,000 fine.
Langenheim entered the pleas Tuesday in Cleveland Municipal Court. He posted $15,000 bond and was released.
Police also have charged three Youngstown-area juveniles with delinquency assault charges stemming from the attacks. The teens have been released to their parents' custody.
Police said the teenagers videotaped attacks they made on at least six homeless people while they slept on park benches or in doorways last weekend.
The teens were arrested after their car broke down on a downtown street, and they ran away when another motorist stopped to help.
After the teens ran, the motorist talked to a homeless man who told him about the attacks.
