According to police, the woman believes neighbors killed the dog. She told police that she'd caught neighbors on Penhale Avenue throwing rocks at her pet and taunting him in the past. The woman also told police that she'd had a rabbit and that after she found it dead another neighbor told her that the same neighbors who threw rocks at her dog had killed the rabbit.
Lorrie Ziegler, humane investigator for Mahoning County, said the dog appeared to have been killed on purpose.
