Meeting about bridge
EAST PALESTINE -- City officials were to attend a meeting today at the Ohio Department of Transportation District 11 office in New Philadelphia. ODOT plans to replace the bridge on state Route 46 on the city's southwest side, city manager Gary Clark said. ODOT officials will have information on the bridge replacement, including a construction timeline, he said. The bridge is in a busy traffic area near the city park and area motorists have complained the aging bridge's high concrete sides impede visibility.
