NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Lawrence County residents with address changes caused by the county's recent 911 addressing project can call the elections office with their new street names and numbers.
Election director Marlene Gabriel said those who have not moved, but only have a new street name and number can call (724) 656-2145, (724) 656-2149 or (724) 656-1920. All others with new addresses will have to register by mail.
Seniors town hall meeting
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- U.S. Rep. Phil English of Erie, R-3rd, will hold a town hall meeting on senior citizen issues at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the East Main Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall at 120 E. Main St.
English will discuss a House Medicare reform bill that includes a prescription drug benefit but will also hear from senior citizens on other issues affecting them.
Fire dept. receives grant
SANDY LAKE, Pa. -- The Sandy Lake Volunteer Fire, Rescue & amp; Relief Association has been awarded a $70,083 grant for fire operations and firefighter safety equipment from the federal Emergency Preparedness and Response Directorate.
Radio license class offered

Two church treasurerscharged with stealing
HONESDALE, Pa. (AP) -- Two church treasurers have been arrested on charges that they stole tens of thousands of dollars from their Wayne County churches.
Nancy Ann Swingle, 54, of Moscow, and Nancy Gilbert, 49, were arrested on felony charges of theft and face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
Wayne County District Attorney Mark Zimmer said Swingle stole more than $70,000 over a nine-year period from St. John's Episcopal Church in Hamlin. Gilbert is accused of taking $55,000 from Bethany United Methodist Church in Bethany over a period of six years. The two women also face a maximum fine of $15,000 each.
