COLUMBIANA CORNER Police easily spot 'lost' boy

Salem police were called to an East State Street business recently when a customer couldn't find her 5-year-old son.
Several police cars arrived and began a search. Meanwhile, a police supervisor met with the now-frantic mother outside the store.
As the officer was taking down information, he looked through the store window and saw a lad matching the missing boy's description. The youngster was taking in all the excitement.
The officer pointed out the boy to the mother, and it was indeed her son.
Police learned that the boy had decided it would be fun to inaugurate a game of hide-and-seek with his mother without first telling her.
