YOUNGSTOWN -- After a four-year absence from area broadcast, the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon will return this Labor Day weekend.
The telethon will air from 9 p.m. Aug. 31 to 7 p.m. Sept. 1 on WYTV Channel 33. It will be a combination of national and local broadcasts to help raise money to support the MDA and its battle against muscular dystrophy, which affects more than 1,400 Northeast Ohio families.
