WASHINGTON -- Chamique Holdsclaw had 26 points and 10 rebounds as Washington kept its slim playoff hopes alive. Kedra Holland-Corn scored 23 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead first-place Detroit, which had its five-game winning streak snapped. Detroit (19-7) clinched its playoff berth with a win Tuesday in Connecticut.
Storm 92, Sparks 56
SEATTLE -- Lauren Jackson's team-record 34 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks led Seattle, which handed Los Angeles its fourth straight loss. Seattle (15-11) moved within 2 1/2 games of the defending WNBA champion Sparks (18-9). Jackson scored 22 of the Storm's first 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds by halftime as Seattle took a 36-33 lead. She finished 17-of-23 from the field. Minnesota (15-12) missed its two field goal attempts and two free throws after getting within 51-49 with 1:59 remaining. Coupled with Seattle's win over Los Angeles on Wednesday, the Lynx fell into fourth place in the Western Conference, one game ahead of Sacramento.
