YOUNGSTOWN -- Officials at Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries ask people not to donate wet clothes or other items. Since the floods, some area residents have been dropping off wet items, which the agency must pay to dispose of. Goodwill's trash disposal expenses total over $80,000 annually, they said. Disaster relief center
YOUNGSTOWN -- A flood and tornado disaster relief center will open Saturday in the Mahoning County South Side Annex, 2801 Market St. Center hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Representatives of the Federal and Mahoning County emergency management agencies will be on hand to answer disaster victims' questions concerning various types of assistance and offer advice on repairing and rebuilding.
Victims are asked to bring photos and other documentation of damage. Enter by the south side of the building.
