XHUBBARD -- The marriage of Kristen Elizabeth Smith and Corey James Gomez was solemnized by the Rev. Larry Stewart and Deacon Robert Friedman at 3 p.m. July 5 at the First Presbyterian Church.
A reception was held at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre in Liberty in honor of the daughter of James and Betsy Smith, 1741 Cherry Lane, and the son of Jerry and Pamela Gomez of Utica, N.Y.
After a honeymoon on the Hawaiian island of Maui, the couple returned to their home in Herndon, Va.
The bride wore a strapless satin organza gown embellished with pearls and lace and featuring a cathedral train.
Kiwi-colored gowns were worn by the maid of honor, Courtney Skruck, and the bridesmaids, Heather Pusztai Smith, Jennifer Poling, Suzanne Lawson, Kacie Coonce, Erica Madden and Brandi Bence Ruth.
Jason DiOrio performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Nicholas Smith, Nathan Gomez, Damian Gomez, John Monahan, Daniel Monahan and Adam Zabek.
A graduate of Ohio State University, the bride is employed as an accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Washington.
The groom graduated from Pennsylvania State University and is an industrial engineering cost analyst with Naval Air Systems in Washington.
