XBOARDMAN -- Simon Road Church of God was the setting at 4:30 p.m. July 26 as nuptial vows were exchanged by Heather J. Yaist and Charles C. Crissman, both of 1645 Medford Ave., Youngstown.
The Rev. Earl Litman officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Lee and Barbara Yaist, 1809 Lealand Ave., Poland, and the son of Arthur and Dolores Crissman, 515 Grape St., Castanea, Pa.
The couple accepted congratulations during a reception at St. Nicholas Byzantine Center in Youngstown before leaving on a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains.
They live at 1152 Hampton Place, Salem.
The bride's A-line gown of ivory satin was enhanced with a brocade overlay.
Midnight-blue gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Susan Yaist, and the bridesmaids, Joyce Yaist, her sister-in-law, and the groom's sisters, Nicole Chaddock and Celeste Crissman. Junior bridesmaid was Kaitlin Chaddock, and flower girl was Josie Chaddock, nieces of the groom.
Serving as best man was the groom's brother-in-law, Gary Chaddock, and groomsmen were Dave Aungst, Dave Lombardi and Jim Crawford.
The bride earned a degree in nursing at Capital University in Columbus and is a registered nurse at Specialty Hospital of Mahoning Valley, Youngstown.
The groom, a correctional counselor with the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons in Elkton, served with the U.S. Army during the Persian Gulf War.
