Married: Was married to John Hood, John Harper and Comma Lawrence, all deceased.
Background: Was the youngest of 10 children with five sisters and four brothers. Left school after the eighth grade to become a domestic worker. Lived in Massillon and moved to Youngstown in 1932. Was active in Third Baptist Church in Youngstown and sang in the choir. Her hobbies were dancing, sewing and cooking. Mrs. Lawrence's daily activities are watching television, reading her Bible and The Vindicator.
Celebration: A party took place July 25 at Austin Woods.
