XYOUNGSTOWN -- Charles M. Mitchell, 1040 Alameda Ave., and his bride, the former Cynthia D. Pearson, 736 E. Judson Ave., left for a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas following their marriage at 4 p.m. July 12 at New Hope Baptist Church.
The Rev. Larry McCloud presided, and a reception was held at St. Mark's Hall in Liberty.
Parents of the bride are Viney Shaw, 8139 Meadowlark, Cleveland, and John Shaw, 89 Notre Dame Drive, Campbell. The groom is a son of Magnora Mitchell, also of 1040 Alameda Ave., and the late Charles Mitchell.
Pearls and rhinestones adorned the bride's ivory strapless gown, and the skirt flowed into a chapel train.
Royal-blue gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Renee Underwood, and the bridesmaids, Joan Benson, Angel Shaw and Joyce Riley. Junior bridesmaid was Anjanae Billingsly, and flower girl was Jaelyn Shaw.
Lamont Mitchell was best man, and groomsmen were Kelvin Pearson, David Riley and Gregory Vaughn. Jawaylen Shaw was ring bearer.
Ushers were Lakendra Evans, Doneicia Evans, Brionna Benson, RaNeisha Billingsly, Allen Underwood and Christopher Truman.
A graduate of Choffin School of Surgical Technology, the bride is a surgical technician at the Orthopedic Surgery Center.
The groom earned a degree in electrical engineering at ATES Technical School in Niles. He is an electrical audio engineer with Satin Sound Systems in Hermitage, Pa.
