Celebration held for Yuhas 50th anniversary

XSTRUTHERS -- A reception at The Oak View was held Aug. 9 in celebration of the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene S. Yuhas, 175 Harvey St.
Hosting the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Steven Budd of Dayton, Roberta and Timothy McCoy of New Middletown, Atty. Steven and Maureen Yuhas of Kettering, and Kevin and Antoinette Yuhas of London, Ohio. Six grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Yuhas and the former Rosemarie Wittenauer were married Aug. 8, 1953, at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard. He served as a private first class in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps from 1950-52 and worked for Anderson Suburban Delivery in Youngstown for 24 years. He retired in 1990 from Republic/LTV/WCI Steel in Warren, where he worked 20 years as a trainman. He is president of Jednota Branch 259, and is a past president of Holy Trinity Men's Club and the Struthers Northside Reunion.
Mrs. Yuhas was a secretary for the Struthers Board of Education until retiring in 1996. She is a member of the Altar & amp; Rosary Society, Infant Jesus of Prague Guild and is a church lector at Holy Trinity Church, where the couple are members.
