Summary of police activity for Boardman and Poland:
BOARDMAN
July 28
Criminal damage: Police arrested a Boardman man and a New Middletown man, both 19, on charges of breaking and entering and vandalism, and a Boardman man, 20, on a criminal damaging charge. The men were suspected of damaging a two-piece sliding glass door, seven windows, a portion of drywall and part of a hallway at a residence under construction in the 5200 block of Cranberry Creek.
Auto theft: A 1996 GMC Jimmy was stolen from a garage in the 1500 block of Allan Drive.
Fraud: A man bought four cartons of cigarettes and two $100 gasoline cards at a BP gas station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road, using a stolen credit card.
Theft: An AM/FM/MP3 stereo system was removed from a vehicle parked at the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police charged a 32-year-old Poland man with theft after a 24-pack of soda, two packs of cigarettes and a roast beef sandwich were stolen from Giant Eagle.
Auto theft: A 1990 Pontiac Bonneville was stolen from the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Theft: A woman in the 7500 block of Market Street reported five photographs, a clock, a comforter set, a Chinese lamp and two vases stolen from her apartment. She also reported that her 1987 Oldsmobile Calais was used without permission.
Burglary: A woman in the 400 block of Oakridge Drive reported a Honda moped stolen from her residence.
Theft: A woman reported her daughter's bicycle stolen from their yard in the 90 block of Gertrude Avenue.
Theft: A woman reported her cellular phone stolen while she shopped at Giant Eagle.
July 29
Recovered property: Police recovered a 1989 Oldsmobile, stolen in Portage County, in the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's front grill was damaged while the car was in the 100 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Two pairs of children's jeans, a children's shirt and a pair of children's shorts were stolen from Dillard's in Southern Park Mall.
Arrest: A 28-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at the Mahoning County jail on charges of obstructing official business and obstructing justice.
Theft: A woman reported that a man stole a street sign in the 8000 block of Deerpath Drive.
Theft, forgery: A Youngstown man reported that someone forged and cashed three personal checks in his mother's name totaling $254.81 at Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.
Forgery: An Austintown man reported that someone forged and cashed a $688 check at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 40-year-old Boardman man on a domestic-violence charge after a Straley Lane woman reported being threatened.
Theft: Police arrested three East Palestine girls, two age 16 and one age 17, on theft charges after a pair of stretch jeans, a tank top, a pair of shorts and a pair of blue jeans were stolen from Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A laptop computer was stolen from an office building in the 800 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Vandalism: A Farrell, Pa., man discovered that someone poured water into his vehicle's gas tank while he was at a construction site in the 3900 block of South Avenue.
Theft: Police arrested a 17-year-old Boardman boy on a theft charge after three packs of cigarettes were stolen from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road. He also was charged with possession of tobacco by someone under 18.
Burglary: A woman reported her apartment in the 4200 block of Hillman Way broken into and a 19-inch TV removed.
Counterfeit: An employee at Ace Cash Express Inc., 272 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported receiving a counterfeit $3,296 federal income tax check.
Arrest: An 18-year-old Poland man was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after an employee at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, told police he saw someone walking through the parking lot carrying a knife.
Theft: A man in the 8000 block of South Avenue reported his checkbook stolen from his vehicle parked in the driveway.
Theft: A vehicle's owner's manual, a license plate registration paper, an insurance card and two candles were removed from a truck parked in the 7000 block of West Boulevard.
July 30
Criminal damage: Someone broke a window pane at a garage in the 4100 block of Baymar Drive.
Theft: A 15-year-old Youngstown boy was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after a shirt was taken from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall.
Recovered property, arrest: After police recovered a stolen 1988 Chevrolet Caprice in a service center at Wal-Mart and responded to a theft report at the store, an 18-year-old Youngstown man was charged with receiving a stolen vehicle, receiving an altered vehicle identification number, receiving stolen property, disorderly conduct and failure to desist. An in-dash radio-CD player was stolen.
Theft: Police arrested a 22-year-old North Augusta, S.C., woman on a theft charge after $128.43 worth of clothing was stolen from Kaufmann's.
Domestic violence: A 43-year-old man was arrested at his Woodview Drive residence on a domestic-violence charge after he reported having a physical confrontation and an argument with his wife at their home.
July 31
Domestic violence: A 25-year-old Boardman man was charged with domestic violence after his girlfriend alleged he hit her in a bedroom at their Hillman Way residence.
Robbery: Police arrested a 32-year-old Youngstown woman on a robbery charge after a Hillman Way man alleged she threatened him with a knife and took the victim's coat and 10 of his keys.
Theft, criminal damage: A woman in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road reported her vehicle's driver's-side window broken and dashboard damaged, and a CD-stereo stolen, while the car was in a carport.
Criminal damage: A man in the 6900 block of Glenwood Avenue reported that his vehicle had paint damage, and that someone used a rock to break his car's driver's-side door window and damage its windshield while it was in his driveway.
Theft: A man reported his son's 20-inch bicycle stolen from their back yard in the 4000 block of Windsor Road.
Theft: Police charged a 15-year-old Youngstown boy with theft and possession of criminal tools after a Wal-Mart employee said someone tried to leave without paying for a 15-shot BB pistol.
Theft: Someone stole a drop gate from an equipment trailer at TR Equipment Rentals, 4627 Market St.
Theft: An employee at Pizza Hut, 708 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported $214.97 taken from a cash register.
Criminal damage: Someone used BBs to damage three windows at an apartment in the 300 block of Meadowbrook Avenue.
Theft: Police arrested a North Augusta, S.C., girl, 13, on a theft charge after $56 worth of miscellaneous jewelry was stolen from Kaufmann's.
Assault: A 26-year-old Sierra Madre Trail man reported being assaulted at a residence in the 7100 block of Ron Joy Place. The victim had swelling to his eyes, nose and mouth.
Aug. 1
Arrest: A 51-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at Labor Ready, 4338 Market St., on a charge of public indecency.
Criminal damage: Someone damaged a mirror at BW-3 in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A man reported a microcassette tape and recorder and a cellular phone removed from his vehicle parked at the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damage: A woman caused about $500 worth of damage to all four of a vehicle's tires while the car was parked at Tinseltown USA, 7401 Market St.
Stolen checks: A woman in the 4000 block of Hopkins Road reported seven checks totaling $589 stolen from her residence.
Theft: A man stole 99 packs of cough drops from a BP gas station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road.
Stolen checks: A Youngstown man reported a book of checks missing from his residence and that three checks totaling $275.59 were cashed at Wal-Mart.
Robbery: Police arrested a 34-year-old Youngstown man on a robbery charge after two security employees at the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall alleged he pushed and shoved them while they tried to detain him. The man is suspected of stealing three shirts. Also, a 40-year-old Youngstown man was charged with theft after a $150 dress was stolen.
Aug. 2
Criminal mischief: A woman discovered several broken eggs covering her vehicle parked at Inner Circle Pizza, 1816 Boardman-Poland Road.
Recovered property: Police recovered in the 4100 block of Hillman Way a 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood stolen in Youngstown.
Robbery, assault: A New Castle, Pa., woman reported being kidnapped, robbed and assaulted after she tried to enter her vehicle parked at Cinemark Movies 8, 469 Boardman-Poland Road.
Assault: A man in the 4400 block of South Avenue alleged a man, 31, assaulted him during an argument at the victim's apartment.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen from a shopping cart when she was at Home Depot.
Theft, criminal damage: A man reported that someone damaged his mother's vehicle's driver's-side door molding and removed a CD stereo while the car was in the Giant Eagle parking lot, 476 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal mischief: A man reported that someone drove a vehicle through his front lawn in the 1600 block of Country Club Avenue.
Robbery: A Warren man reported that a 20-year-old man robbed him at gunpoint and stole $3,000 while the victim stayed at the Microtel Inn, 7393 South Ave.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 50 block of Romaine Avenue reported that someone broke a window on her garage storm door.
Arrest: Police arrested a 43-year-old Youngstown man in the 600 block of East Midlothian Boulevard and charged him with obstructing official business after officers say he provided false information.
Aug. 3
Domestic violence: A 17-year-old Youngstown girl was charged with domestic violence after her sister alleged the girl assaulted her at their residence in the 4100 block of South Avenue. The victim had a puncture wound, a bite mark and several scratches.
Auto theft: A 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen in the 100 block of Terrace Drive.
Auto theft: A 1990 Ford Tempo was stolen from the Med-Mar professional building parking lot, 5701 Market St.
Criminal damage: Someone broke a minivan's rear windshield while it was in the 20 block of Melbourne Avenue.
Vandalism: A man discovered that his car's rear windshield was shattered and that three other vehicles parked at Dick Adgate Florist, 4527 Market St., had paint damage.
Theft: A man stole a pair of high-top shoes from Shoe Carnival, 550 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A man in the 100 block of Beechwood Drive reported that his Visa debit card was stolen and used at an automatic-teller machine at Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 7371 California Ave.
Criminal damage: A man reported that someone used a key to damage his vehicle's front fender, driver's-side door and rear quarter panel while the car was parked at the Southern Park Mall, causing $500 in damage.
Arrest: A 24-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with endangering children after two juveniles were left unattended in a vehicle with its motor running in the 400 block of Boardman-Poland Road. The woman also was charged with theft and possession of marijuana after officers found in her purse a bag containing suspected marijuana.
Criminal damage: A woman reported that someone used a key to damage her car's passenger side while the vehicle was in the 200 block of Indianola Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a 38-year-old McDonald man at a residence in the 4500 block of Waseka Lane and charged him with domestic violence.
Criminal damage: Someone broke a truck's front windshield while it was parked in the 5000 block of Sheridan Road.
Recovered property: A stolen 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood was recovered in a carport in the 4100 block of Hillman Way.

Aug. 3
Criminal damage: Someone tossed rocks and damaged two windows at Poland Union Elementary School, 30 Riverside Drive.
Theft: A man in the 10 block of Centennial Drive reported his bicycle, containing a cellular phone, was stolen from his garage.
