PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Diego Forlan scored twice in the first half and Tim Howard made several key saves as Manchester United beat Barcelona 3-1 Sunday, completing its U.S. tour with a perfect record.
Before a sellout crowd of 68,396 at the opening of Lincoln Financial Field, Barcelona took a 1-0 lead when striker Patrick Kluivert headed home a perfect pass from Ronaldinho 10 minutes into the match.
But Manchester United took control after that. Forlan equalized with a diving header 26 minutes in, and Manchester United went ahead 11 minutes later when Forlan took a cross from Nicky Butt and found the upper left-hand corner of the net.
Ruud van Nistelrooy added an insurance goal in the 84th minute. He juked past two Barcelona defenders, deked goalie Albert Torrvera and scored into the open net.

Howard, a New Jersey native who has played for the MetroStars of Major League Soccer the last four years, started his second game for Manchester United. Early in the second half, he made a diving stop when Xavi blasted a shot toward the upper right-hand corner.
"That was an absolutely marvelous save," Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson said. "One of the best saves you'll ever see."
Howard later stopped Xavi again from 18 yards out. He finished with eight saves.
"We're taking that lad back from the States knowing he'll compete for the No. 1 jersey," Ferguson said.
Manchester United finished its U.S. tour 4-0. The Red Devils beat Glasgow Celtic 4-0 on July 22, Mexico's Club America 3-1 on July 27 and Italian champion Juventus 4-1 on July 31. Barcelona dropped its first match on its U.S. tour after beating Juventus on penalty kicks July 27 and blanking AC Milan 2-0 July 30.
The match was the first event held at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles. The field drew raves from both coaches.
"The pitch is wonderful," Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard said. "You can play billiards on it, and it shows. I saw some beautiful combinations out there."
