July sales increasefor Cavalier, Sunfire
LORDSTOWN -- General Motors reported July sales of 27,614 Lordstown-build Chevrolet Cavaliers, up 61.9 percent from July 2002. GM sold 155,960 Cavaliers so far this year, very close to its 156,015 total in the first seven months of 2002.
July sales for Lordstown-built Pontiac Sunfires totaled 5,099, up 2.2 percent from a year ago, but sales for the year so far totaled 25,385, down 44.6 percent from the same period in 2002.

Bethlehem retireescan stay in COBRA
PHILADELPHIA -- Thousands of retired Bethlehem Steel Corp. employees who lost their company-backed health insurance when the firm's assets were sold last winter will be able to keep getting care, although it won't be cheap. International Steel Group, which purchased the remnants of the company, will allow about 8,000 retirees who enrolled in a COBRA insurance program to continue in the program indefinitely.
