Car passenger 'critical'
LIBERTY -- Beverly Easton, 47, of Manhattan Avenue, Youngstown, was in critical condition Saturday evening in St. Elizabeth Health Center after a three-vehicle crash on state Route 11 on Friday in which she was ejected from a car. Easton was a passenger in a car driven by Richard Deeds, 43, of the same address, who suffered minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Deeds slowed his car around 5:20 p.m. and it was rear-ended by a van driven by Maurice Feagins, 32, of Judson Avenue, Youngstown. The car overturned, and a Jeep, driven by Willie Seay Jr., 32, of Fifth Avenue, Youngstown, then struck debris from the crash. All three vehicles were southbound between Tibbetts-Wick Road and I-80. Feagins and Seay were not injured.
Performance for kids
WARREN -- "The Granny Awards," a 50-minute children's fairy tale musical review is scheduled for Aug. 2 p.m. 10 and 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at Packard Music Hall. Hydrants to be tested
HOWLAND -- The Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer's Department will test hydrants with the Howland Fire Department on Monday. This may result in low water pressure or water discoloration in some homes. The tests will take three to four days to complete.
Hubbard school board
HUBBARD -- A special meeting of the Hubbard Board of Education will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the board room.
Quilt show
BRISTOLVILLE -- The Bristol Bicentennial Committee will sponsor a quilt show at Bristol United Methodist Church Sept. 13 during the Heritage Days festivities. Artisans will demonstrate activities that were part of the daily lives of early Bristolville-area settlers.
