Nominations being takenfor business pride award
WARREN -- The Warren Area Council of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is accepting nominations for the second Pendleton Business Pride Award until Aug. 18.
Nominees must be located within the city limits and will be judged on standards that include exterior and interior aesthetics, longevity, business excellence and community involvement. Previously nominated businesses will be automatically reconsidered.

The award will be presented Sept. 4 at a mixer at Trumbull Country Club.
Thom Duma's Fine Jewelers was named the first Pendleton award winner in June.
Execs are re-electedto industrial board
YOUNGSTOWN -- These business executives have been re-elected to the board of trustees of the Industrial Information Institute for Education: Thomas Clark, regional president of FirstEnergy; Garry Mrozek, senior vice president of National City Bank; Victor Nery, president of Columbiana Foundry Co.; Pamela Kloss, senior vice president of Home Savings and Loan Co.; Francis Petrini of Abraham & amp; Petrini Insurance Agency; and August Lukasko, manager of global salary personnel administration at Delphi Packard Electric Systems.
New members elected to the board were David Diebel, president of Boardman Steel, and Donald Currier, senior vice president of human resources for Forum Health.
All of the board members were named to three-year terms that begin Sept. 1.
The organization is supported by local companies and coordinates a variety of economic education activities involving teachers and students in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Mercer counties.
